Here Lately....

Here lately I have been gardening.  I have a little 8ft x 8ft above ground garden with tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, and banana peppers!  I cannot wait to start picking!  My little cucumber vines are growing cucumbers now.  To tell you the truth, I don't eat cucumbers--at all.  I've tried them many times, and will keep on trying them to see if my taste buds will change.  I'm growing seven cucumber plants so that I can make Jordan's Pawpaw's sweet pickles (they are KILLER), and I'm gonna try to find for myself a dill pickle recipe.
Here's the first cucumber (it's about grown now)

I've also just come back from vacation to Atlanta with Jordan!  Here we are at the Braves game...
Thursday we went to eat at Matthew's Cafeteria which is a restaurant featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.  It's in Tucker, Ga, and serves amazing southern comfort food!  After eating we went to the Braves game (which we won in off a balk--yes balk that's not a typo-- in the 10th inning).  Friday Jordan came along (without complaining I might add) for a little shopping trip where I got a great new purse for an amazing price which is always good!  We had lunch at one of our favorite places, Taco Mac, before fighting the Atlanta traffic back to a Braves game which we lost. :(  Saturday we came home, but of course we stopped in Kennesaw for Jordan to shop at the PGA Superstore (this golf habbit is a CRAZY one).  Such a great day--ended with steaks for Daddy's Day for my amazing father!
Daddy has been just the best always!  Here we are on my wedding day.

I'm glad to settle in from our trip and fold the laundry--which Jordan washed today on his own (he also mowed the yard--grass is finally growing).  He's just the best!

Hello (Again)

Ok, so I've blogged twice before this...without much success.  Perhaps I was just too busy in college?  I know I was too busy when Jordan and I were first married--I was coaching and settling into being a wife (and that in itself is like a full time job-- a good one, but definitely work).  Now that it's summer, and I've found myself interested in several new things and have lots of cool things happening I've decided to give this another go!  I'll probably post mostly on family and friends, dogs, gardening, couponing, teaching, and just life around the Dent house!  Here's to sticking with this blogging thing (hopefully)! :)
